The purchase of the TMS implementation and integration services provider is the Chicago-based 3PL’s third acquisition of 2019.
Chicago-based third-party logistics provider Redwood Logistics announced Thursday it had acquired transportation management systems implementation and integration services provider Eminent Global Logistics.
The terms of the transaction, Redwood’s third acquisition of 2019, were not disclosed.
Eminent, founded in 2002 and headquartered in Horsham, Pa., is a consultant and integrator for Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), Global Trade Management (GTM) and Oracle Warehouse Management (Logfire). Eminent complements Redwood’s existing knowledge services team, and Eminent’s suite of products for OTM and GTM implementation complements Redwood’s own connectivity platform — RedwoodConnect — for easier implementation of both TMS offerings, the statement announcing the acquisition said.
“Eminent’s people, deep expertise and success in implementation drew us to their company,” Redwood CEO Mark Yeager said in a statement. “There’s also a natural alignment with our current offering. Redwood can now offer an even broader technology solution set to customers of varying sizes, complexities and business models.”
Redwood acquired non-asset multimodal 3PL Strive in February and LTX Solutions, a provider of less-than-truckload freight management and transportation freight management, in January.
