Roadrunner adds outbound service from Toronto

The less-than-truckload provider added an outbound LTL service from Toronto, Ontario and appointed John Geertsema as General Manager for Canada.

   Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc. added an outbound less-than-truckload (LTL) service from Toronto, Ontario, the company said Tuesday.
   “Toronto is a key market, which we already service with inbound freight, and our partnerships have given us the resources to expand services in both directions,” Roadrunner President of LTL Grant Crawford said in a statement. “We look forward to expanding services to additional Canadian markets in the future.”
   In addition, Roadrunner appointed John Geertsema as General Manager for Canada. John Geertsema joined Roadrunner from FedEx Express Canada, where he was most recently Managing Director of Sales.
   Based out of Cudahy, Wis., Roadrunner provides a variety of global supply chain solutions including customized and expedited LTL, truckload logistics, intermodal solutions, freight consolidation, inventory management, expedited services, air freight, international freight forwarding, customs brokerage and transportation management solutions.
