Under a new service agreement, Sameday Worldwide will handle all of Roadrunner Transportation Systems’ less-than-truckload volumes in eastern Canada, while Roadrunner will handle all Sameday Worldwide shipments within its U.S. network.
Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc. has partnered with Mississauga, Canada-based Sameday Worldwide for less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments, the companies said in a joint statement.
Under a new reciprocal service agreement, Sameday Worldwide will handle all of Roadrunner Transportation Systems’ less-than-truckload volumes in eastern Canada, while Roadrunner will handle all Sameday Worldwide shipments within its U.S. network.
The companies said the agreement will provide Roadrunner with access to additional areas in eastern Canada, enhancing service levels for its customers, and that Sameday Worldwide will also assist the company with cross-border management.
“We are excited to be working with Sameday Worldwide, one of the top-three asset-based carriers in Canada,” Grant Crawford, president of Roadrunner LTL, said of the agreement. “Our new relationship will strengthen the capabilities of both organizations as it expands Roadrunner’s coverage of eastern Canada and will increase our efficiency in cross-border shipments.
“It also provides Sameday Worldwide with a leading carrier in the United States,” he added. “Customers can benefit from the expanded capabilities and service offerings of both companies.”
