ROYAL ALLIANCE NAMES DANZAS AEI FOR NORTHERN BORDER BROKERAGE SERVICES
Royal Alliance Inc. has chosen Danzas AEI Intercontinental as its exclusive provider of customs brokerage services for Canadian-made goods entering the United States.
Under the agreement, Danzas AEI Intercontinental will participate in clearance and release of merchandise at border crossings in Michigan and New York prior to their distribution to U.S. retail outlets.
Since the partnership between the two companies began, Danzas AEI Intercontinental made changes to Royal Alliance’s parts classification catalogue, in addition to establishing procedures for Customs regulations compliance, and the development of cost-effective strategies.
“We are more than satisfied with how the relationship has evolved,” said Barry Stevens, warehouse and traffic manager for Royal Alliance.
Stevens added that, prior to the partnership, Royal Alliance had been beset by inaccurate or incomplete entries, and at times inaccurate compliance work. “We needed to move ahead with a strong broker that was committed to our business, to our growth and to achieving proper execution,” Stevens said.
Based in Toronto, Royal Alliance Inc. is a unit of Royal Group Technologies Ltd., a producer of polymer-based construction products. Danzas belongs to Deutsche Post World Net, and is based in Basel, Switzerland.
