RYSER NAMED PRESIDENT OF PANALPINA’S U.S./CANADA OPERATIONS
Panalpina World Transport has appointed Christian Ryser president of its
U.S./Canada operation. Ryser replaces Rolf Altorfer, who recently left the
company.
In his new role, Ryser will oversee the management of Panalpina’s North
American operations. He will also be supported by five regional senior vice
presidents.
Ryser, a 20-year veteran of the Basil, Switzerland-based forwarder, has
managed a variety of country posts for Panalpina, including South Africa,
Chile, Panama and Belgium. He has been managing director of Panalpina’s
Venezuelan operation since 1993.
