Saddle Creek buys ServiceCraft Logistics
Privately held Saddle Creek Corp., an asset-based provider of third-party logistics services based in Lakeland, Fla., said Monday it has acquired ServiceCraft Logistics for an undisclosed amount.
ServiceCraft, headquartered in Buena Park, Calif., manages more than 5 million square feet of distribution facilities across the United States. It specializes in services to the consumer electronics, automotive, garment and consumer packaged products industries.
Saddle Creek, which had $178 million in net revenue last year, specializes in warehousing and distribution, transportation management and contract packaging.
The deal expands Saddle Creek's geographic reach with eight warehouse locations in Northern and Southern California and Dallas-Fort Worth and expands its square footage by 20 percent. The company said it would also offer regional trucking service in California in addition to its existing nationwide truck brokerage operation.
