Saudia Cargo introduces flights from New Delhi

The airfreight subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s flag carrier Saudia commenced bi-weekly 747-400 freighter service from New Delhi to Riyadh and Jeddah.

Saudia Cargo has introduced new freighter services from New Delhi, India to its duel hubs of Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The airfreight subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s flag carrier Saudia commenced bi-weekly 747-400 flights that depart every Thursday and Saturday in early June, according to a statement from the company.
Saudia Cargo said the new operations would complement its existing airfreight services from Mumbai, and would primarily serve the growing pharmaceutical, apparel and textile markets in India.
The airline now operates a total of four weekly freighters from India, transporting imports and exports to and from the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
“This freighter was a long standing demand from many of our customers who wanted us to bring to Delhi a sustainable service product that serves their requirements especially to destinations within the Middle East, Europe and Africa in particular,” Keku Gazder, regional director of cargo for the Indian subcontinent, said in a statement.
