Saudia Cargo returns to JFK

The airfreight carrier of Saudi Arabia’s flag airline will begin dedicated weekly cargo flights to the New York City airport starting Sept. 4.

   Saudi Airlines Cargo Co. will resume operations at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City, N.Y., the airfreight carrier said in a statement.
   The cargo division of Saudia, Saudi Arabia’s flag airline, will begin scheduled dedicated weekly freighter flights from Jeddah to JFK airport starting Sept. 4.
   “This step will enhance the activity of air cargo operations to and from the United States conducted through the capacities available for both the seven weekly passenger and freighter flights scheduled to Washington DC as well as New York and Los Angeles,” said Rainer Mueller, acting vice president, commercial. “With this added route, Saudia Cargo continues to provide its customers the access to greater opportunities in terms of cargo tonnage and future destinations.”
