The Shanghai Containerized Freight Index, an estimate of spot rates published each Friday from Shanghai to 15 regions around the world, fell 0.6 percent since last Friday to a reading of 948.08.
The Shanghai Shipping Exchange’s Shanghai Containerized Freight Index (SCFI) dropped 0.6 percent from last Friday’s reading of 954.27 to a reading of 948.08.
On the Shanghai to North Europe trade, the SCFI fell 1.7 percent since last week, from $1,041 per TEU to $1,023 per TEU, while on the Shanghai to Mediterranean trade, the index rose 1.2 percent, from $986 per TEU to $998 per TEU.
Meanwhile, rates on the Shanghai to U.S. West Coast trade fell 0.7 percent since last week, from $2,106 per FEU to $2,092 per FEU, while rates on the Shanghai to U.S. East Coast trade slipped 0.1 percent, from $3,637 per FEU to $3,639 per FEU.
