However, rates from Shanghai to Europe and the Mediterranean both fell 0.5 percent since last Friday.
The Shanghai Shipping Exchange’s Shanghai Containerized Freight Index, which includes spot rate estimates from Shanghai to a total of 15 regions around the world, remained relatively stable compared to last week, inching up 1.6 percent from last Friday’s reading of 747.03 to a reading of 758.81.
Since last Friday, rates from both Shanghai to Europe and the Mediterranean slipped 0.5 percent, with rates to Europe dropping from $819 per TEU to $815 per TEU, and rates to the Mediterranean falling from $802 per TEU to $798 per TEU.
Meanwhile, rates from Shanghai to the U.S. West Coast dropped 3.7 percent, from $1,338 per FEU to $1,288 per FEU, while rates from Shanghai to the U.S. East Coast fell 3.5 percent, from $2,721 per FEU to $2,625 per FEU.
