Schneider gets official go-ahead from Chinese government
U.S. trucking and intermodal giant Schneider International has received formal permission from the Chinese government to move ahead with its plans to set up as a domestic trucking and logistics firm in China, the China Economic Review reported today.
The company's China office will be in Tianjin, from which it will attempt to develop warehousing, carrier and logistics services for the Chinese market. Schneider has had a representative office in Shanghai since 2005.
