SEA-LAND CONFIRMS 6,200-TEU VESSEL CONTRACTS WITH COSTAMARE

Sea-Land Service confirmed that it will take five 6,200-TEU
containerships on charter from the Greek charter owner Costamare Shipping once the vessels
have been built.
The five ships, currently on order from the South Korean shipyard
Hyundai, are due to be delivered between June and December of next year.
A spokesman for Sea-Land said that the route on which the ships will be delivered has not
yet been determined.
Including the 19 ships of more 6,000-TEU capacity delivered or due to
be delivered to Maersk Line, the global alliance of Sea-Land and Maersk will have a total
24 giant containerships by the end of next year.
