Sea Star adds 150 new reefer boxes

Sea Star Line has taken delivery of 150 new 40-foot refrigerated containers in year two of a five year equipment replacement plan.
The replacement aims to reduce the average age of the carrier’s reefer fleet to less than three years.
The new 40-foot refrigerated boxes will arrive at the Blount Island Terminal in Jacksonville, Fla., in June. The reefers will be fit with Carrier PrimeLine machinery, the latest technology available for refrigerated equipment.
“The young fleet will offer many benefits to our customers including quicker cooling capacity which reduces idle load times and provides additional savings to our customers,” said Bill Taylor, Sea Star’s vice president of U.S. sales.
