Sea Star adjusting fuel charges
Sea Star Line will make adjustments to its Intermodal Fuel Charge effective June 25.
The Puerto Rico trade carrier said that as a result of a continued upswing in diesel fuel prices over a four-week review period ending May 26, it will implement the changes a month after that date.
Because the charges are tied to inland intermodal movements of containers, Sea Star sets different charges for multiple zones and city combinations around the country, with the charges related to the distances between those points and either the Port of Jacksonville or Port Everglades.
An exact breakdown of both northbound and southbound charges is available at the Sea Star website, www.seatarline.com.
