Sea Star makes key IT promotions
Sea Star Line has made key promotions in its information technology group, promoting two of its people to new management positions.
Doni Perry has been appointed assistant vice president & chief information officer. In his new role, he is responsible for the entire information technology function, and will continue to report to Carl Fox, senior vice president of customer service, information technology & intermodal.
In addition, JoAnn Nordquist has assumed the role of director of systems & programming. That is the position previously held by Perry; she will report directly to him.
Perry joined Sea Star Line in 2004 as director of systems & programming, with responsibility for the company's overall IT strategy, architecture, and business continuity. Since then, he has overseen a number of significant technology changes, the company said.
Nordquist also joined Sea Star Line in 2004. In her initial role as lead business analyst, she managed the support and development of essential operational systems'such as terminal operations, yard management, stowage, and maintenance and repair'as well as well as critical customer interface applications such as the Starport web portal and Sea Star Line's back-office system.
