The intra-Europe and Mediterranean dedicated liner company, a Maersk subsidiary, announced a new rail connection from St. Petersburg to Moscow.
Intra-European short sea Maersk subsidiary Seago Line will launch a rail connection from St. Petersburg to Moscow for containerized import cargo, the company said in a statement.
The rail connection will offer weekly departures and have a transit time between two and three days from loading at St. Petersburg to the warehouse in Moscow.
Rates, which are valid starting at the end of September, are as follows:
- $530 per 20-foot dry container with a gross weight of 24 tons
- $650 per 20-foot dry container with a gross weight of 30 tons
- $700 per 40-foot dry container with a gross weight of 30 tons
