SEKO celebrates new English facility

SEKO Logistics has built a 152,000-square-foot logistics center in Milton Keynes, England, to support e-commerce growth.
SEKO will employ 150 workers at the new facility.
The construction of the warehouse, from which SEKO will conduct global fulfillment, delivery management and returns solutions, comes on the heels of last year’s warehouse opening in Northampton. SEKO also built a warehouse in New Jersey in October to help British brands get a foothold in the U.S. market.
Keith O’Brien, SEKO Logistics’ group managing director, said the extra capacity in England will allow the company to take advantage of UK retailers pursuing international sales, a market that will reach by $47.98 billion annually by 2020. In fact, he said, international sales by UK retailers are outpacing domestic sales.
“We’ve worked with retailers and e-tailers for over a decade and have focused our investment in facilities, technology, people and services to enable them to respond to new consumer buying trends and fast track their way into the $1 trillion global e-commerce market,” he said.
