Senator International picks IES logistics software
Senator International, a global forwarding and logistics services company based in Hamburg, Germany, has contracted with IES Ltd., a provider of logistics, supply chain, customs brokerage and clearance filing technology, for software to replace disparate systems used for data processing, accounting, freight forwarding, electronic customs processing and warehouse management.
Using IES's workflow and event management applications, Senator will be able to automatically upload critical shipping documents. In addition, shipment data is accessible from anywhere. Integrated software modules will allow real-time management controls.
Uwe Kirschbaum, who founded Senator Airfreight in 1984, is chairman and chief executive officer of the expanded organization known now as Senator International, which has 27 offices in eight countries, including seven offices in the United States.
IES Ltd. is based in Midland Park, N.J.
