CEVA and Total Quality Logistics opened new offices, while Dorian Drake and Davies Turner announced new strategic partnerships.
CEVA Logistics has opened a new, multi-user warehouse near the port of Gdynia in northern Poland.
From the location, CEVA will provide a range of logistics services.
“Encouraged by the success of our operations at CEVA’s multi-customer facility in Bielsko-Biała, southern Poland, we have invested in this new facility to bring similar service levels to customers in the north,” said Piotr Zborowski, the firm’s executive vice president for Central Europe, in a statement.
Total Quality Logistics has opened a second office at Raleigh-Durham, N.C. The freight broker said its new office has about 8,100 square feet in which it plans to invest $750,000 over the next three years.
Dorian Drake International, Inc. has finalized a contract with vehicle lighting manufacturer Optronics to handle the company’s export management and international sales, with the exception of the U.S. and Canada.
The partnership “will enable Optronics to gain access to worldwide markets for its lighting products,” the company said in a statement.
“The organizations will focus on product design, process innovation, speed-to-market and on delivering exceptional end-user value,” Optronics said.
UK-based independent freight forwarder Davies Turner Group has joined with Dutch logistics provider Raben to expand services in the Netherlands. The companies will support British trade with the Netherlands with an enhanced daily trailer groupage service, featuring daily departures from Davies Turner’s Dartford, UK depot and next-day distribution throughout Holland.
According to Philip Stephenson, chairman of the Davies Turner Group, the company already collaborates with Raben in Germany and Poland.
“Working directly with Raben in the Netherlands means that we will have a daily two-way service, with full tracking information. Quality and visibility, at competitive costs, is essential for clients wishing to access the Netherlands efficiently and in a timely manner,” Stephenson said in a statement from the company.
