Shipco opens new office in Bulgaria

The Chatham, N.J.-based non-vessel-operating common carrier’s new office in Sofia, Bulgaria will provide less-than-container-load and full-container-load import and export services.

   Shipco, a non-vessel-operating common carrier, opened Shipco Transport Bulgaria last week in the nation’s capital city Sofia.
   The new office will offer less-than-container-load and full-container-load import and export services using Varna, Bulgaria; Constanta, Romania; Hamburg, Germany; Koper, Slovenia; and Thessaloniki, Greece as its main ports, Shipco said.
   Mihai Ciorobitca leads the office as country manager. He was previously the former operations supervisor of Shipco Romania.
   Over the years, Shipco has been growing in the Balkan area, with Shipco Koper opening its doors in 2010 and Shipco Bucharest commencing operations in 2013.
   Shipco, which is a subsidiary of Denmark-based Scan-Group, operates over 75 offices in more than 30 countries.
