SINGAPORE RECORD FOR P&O NEDLLOYD SHIP WORK
PSA Corp., the operator of the port of Singapore, said that it set a
terminal productivity record for P&O Nedlloyd container ships. Last Wednesday PSA
handled 203 container moves per hour (or 333 TEUs per hour), the highest productivity rate
achieved by P&O Nedlloyd anywhere in the world.
During an eight-hour period the P&O Nedlloyd Rotterdam, 6,600 TEUs,
exchanged 1,662 containers, both loading and discharging, PSA said. PSA set the previous
P&O Nedlloyd record, 188 moves per vessel hour.
