New South Korean ocean carrier SM Line will join INTTRA’s network to increase online bookings, wile INTTRA will receive expanded access in Korea via SM Line customers.
Ocean shipping e-commerce platform INTTRA is working with up-and-coming South Korean container carrier SM Line, to expand INTTRA’s reach in Korea and globally, the company said in a statement.
INTTRA will provide service through SM Line’s intra-Asia and Asia-U.S. options and in future routes as the carrier expands, said the company. SM Line will in turn receive reduced manual bookings and increased online ocean container bookings.
“The addition of one of the fastest-growing Korean-based global container shippers to our network is welcome news” said Vijay Minocha, INTTRA’s president of Asia Pacific. “INTTRA’s suite of services will benefit SM Line through improved efficiency and visibility and by creating overall value for customers.”
In a January interview with American Shipper, INTRRA President and CEO Inna Kuznetsova said the company’s “rapid growth in transactions has resulted from the work it has done in developing solutions for its customers, combined with the fact that carriers, shippers, and service providers to the industry are ‘adopting IT technology faster.'” INTTRA saw additional Asian carriers join its network last year, stating that “the adoption of digital platforms has increased with rising labor costs, and because of expectations by shippers – especially big global shippers and freight forwarders – that they use digital processes.”
