SOUTH AFRICAN POST ELIMINATES BIDDERS
South Africa’s postal company has narrowed the field of bidders vying to
win a consultation contract with the post office down from four groups to
two — and Deutsche Post Group was on the cut list.
Deutsche Post had placed a bid together with DHL International and five
South African firms, but was rejected by the South African Post along with
France’s national postal company La Poste.
Canada’s postal company, in conjunction with the New Zealand Post, are
now competing with a group of bidders led by the U.K. Post Office. A
decision is expected in July.
