SOUTH SEAS SERVICE ENDS NEW ZEALAND CALLS
South Seas Steamship Line, a sister company of the
Hamburg-Sud/Columbus Line group, has stopped calling at Auckland and Tauranga, New
Zealand, as part of its U.S. West Coast/South Pacific service.
The company said that it will focus vessel utilization entirely on the
Pacific Islands trade.
Columbus Line’s separate U.S. West Coast/New Zealand/Australia service
continues to provide a direct service to and from New Zealand ports.
