Southeastern Freight Lines continues Texas expansion

Less-than-truckload carrier Southeastern Freight Lines has opened a new service center in Garland, Texas, its fourth in the state over the past 18 months.

   Less-than-truckload carrier Southeastern Freight Lines has opened a new service center in Garland, Texas.
   The 104-dock door facility is the fourth in Texas opened by the Lexington, S.C.-based carrier in the past 18 months.
   “This opening solidifies Southeastern’s continued focus on our customers in the Texas market,” said David Turner, Southeastern’s regional vice president of operations, in a statement.
   Southeastern appointed Matt Hughes as the new Garland facility’s manager. He joined the carrier 14 years ago and was most recently assistant service center manager for its Dallas operation. The Garland facility will have 72 employees.
