Stolt-Nielsen said Monday that it has agreed to acquire a tank farm in the Port of Moerdijk in The Netherlands from Den Hartogh Holdings. Completion of the acquisition is subject to agreement on final contract, and the transaction is expected to close on December 31.
The terminal consists of 30 stainless steel tanks with a total capacity of 17,720 cubic meters and includes a drumming operation, three warehouses, a jetty with a draft of 8.4 meters and a tank container storage depot.
The company said the location of the terminal fits well with its inter-European coastal tanker and inland barging services and will provide Stolt Tank Containers with a site for a new cleaning and repair depot.
