Supply Chain Solutions expands in Midwest

Supply Chain Solutions, a Grand Rapids, Mich.-based logistics services firm, will lease 38,500 square feet at a warehouse in Lafayette, Ind., near Interstate 65, as part of its ongoing Midwest expansion.
The five-year lease comes with expansion opportunities up to 147,000 square feet. Supply Chain Solutions is relocating its Chicago warehouse to Lafayette to better serve the needs of its client SMG – Shandong Special Industry Group Co., LTD. of China.
The 24-dock-door facility will provide distribution, kitting, assembly, inspections, deconsolidation, cross-dock and forward positioned inventory services.
“We are excited about the new facility because of its strategic location close to many major manufacturers, and it provides expansion opportunities,” said Jim Ward, Supply Chain Solutions’ chief operating officer, in a statement. “We continue to look for new facilities in the Chicago area and hope to have an announcement soon.”
