SWEDES MOVE AGAINST DEUTSCHE POST
Two Swedish transportation interests are trying to stop Deutsche Post’s
bid to buy Swedish forwarder ASG Group AB.
Posten AB, the Swedish national post office, and Bengt Sjoberg are
buying ASG shares in Sweden. Together, they have amassed a 25-percent stake in the
forwarder, one of Scandinavia’s largest.
Deutsche Post subsidiary, Danzas, has launched a bid to purchase all ASG
shares at about $31.50 per share.
