Tacoma to add cold storage facility
Versacold Logistics, the world's second-largest cold storage company, has broken ground on a 200,000-square-foot facility at the Port of Tacoma, the port authority said Friday.
The $30 million, 17-acre warehouse is being built on port property one mile from the marine terminal. The land is being developed under lease to Seattle-based Northwest Building LLC.
Versacold operates more than 120 temperature-controlled facilities around the world.
