The White House is pressuring Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to lift additional truck inspections as lines of cross-border trucks grow.

New equipment will allow U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents inspect up to 50 trucks per hour along the U.S. borders with Canada and Mexico.

Delays could extend to U.S.-Canada as customs personnel are relocated to deal with immigration on the southern border.
