California Advanced Clean Truck Rule

California has asked the Environmental Protection Agency for a waiver to implement the Advanced Clean Fleets rule.

The EPA granted California a waiver to implement its Advanced Clean Trucks rule, which puts zero-emission-vehicle mandates on OEMs.

Dirty trucks will pay $10 per TEU in and out of the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports to raise money for zero-emission trucks and infrastructure.

The two rules are designed to work together, one aimed at OEMs and the other at buyers of their products.
