CDL testings

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration on Monday published a notice in the Federal Register that the state of Florida is seeking an exemption to the CDL testing regulation pertaining to skills testing.

The lack of participation in a program meant to address a shortfall of drivers entering the trucking industry is forcing regulators to adjust.

The FMCSA has waived procedures for CDL testing officials in the administration of knowledge tests, removing the requirement that officials be trained on administrating such a test.
