European Council leaders agreed to extend Article 50 again delaying the UK’s departure from the EU until no later than October 31, with the option of leaving earlier if possible.

European Union negotiators took control of the Brexit process on 21 March by giving the UK an extension up to 22 May if Theresa May’s deal is passed next week, but if it fails a new way forward will need to be decided by 12 April.
European Council President Donald Tusk indicates that EU 27 could allow a short extension if May’s deal is voted through by Parliament next week. If the deal fails for third time, a no deal withdrawal or a longer extension could still be achieved at the eleventh hour.
