The Truckload Carriers Association named Texas driver Michael Dorsey a Highway Angel for his efforts to save lives during the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
Christopher Lloyd was helping out a fellow trucker by picking up a run, but it led him to the scene of a violent crash. For his heroic efforts at the scene, he’s been named the Highway Angel of the Year.

For the first time since the program began, the Truckload Carriers Association is allowing the public to vote for the winner of this year’s Highway Angel of the Year award.
“He would do anything for anybody,” said the widow of a truck driver who was killed while trying to help accident victims.
