Christopher Lloyd was helping out a fellow trucker by picking up a run, but it led him to the scene of a violent crash. For his heroic efforts at the scene, he’s been named the Highway Angel of the Year.
Susan Binsted says trucker Karl Sholl “restored faith in our hearts” after he helped her and her husband stay safe after an accident.
For the first time since the program began, the Truckload Carriers Association is allowing the public to vote for the winner of this year’s Highway Angel of the Year award.
“He would do anything for anybody,” said the widow of a truck driver who was killed while trying to help accident victims.
“God put me … in the right place at the right time,” says trucker Demetrius Fields.
