The online payment platform boosted its outlook for total payment volume, but guidance was largely unchanged.
PayPal reported its “strongest first-quarter results” in company history on Wednesday, posting $6.03 billion in revenue and a 46% increase in total payment volume.
PayPal has enabled the ability for customers on Venmo to buy and sell cryptocurrencies within the app.
A change in IRS tax code included in the $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill will require sellers and other businesses paying out more than $600 to gig workers to file tax forms with the IRS.
