Based out of Bolton, Ontario, Cavalier’s operations consist of less-than-truckload and truckload services, brokerage and warehousing. Cavalier primarily serves corridors between Ontario, Quebec, New York and Illinois.
TFI International, which is based out of Montreal, Quebec, changed its corporate name from TransForce in December 2016 “to reflect the increased geographic scope of its operations,” the company said.
Just this month, TFI International announced its acquisition of World Courier Ground U.S. from AmerisourceBergen Corporation. In December 2016, TFI International announced the acquisition of National Fast Freight, and in October 2016, the company unveiled its purchase of the North American truckload operation of XPO Logistics. All three of these acquisitions were also made through a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company.
