TMM, APL REVISE TRANSPACIFIC SERVICE
TMM and APL will revise their weekly transpacific service in April to
eliminate U.S. West Coast and Pacific islands calls and add service to
Ensenada, Mexico.
The new rotation for the six-ship service will be Hong Kong, Kaohsiung,
Busan, Kobe, Yokohama, Ensenada, Manzanillo, Yokohama, Kobe and Hong Kong.
APL continues to call U.S. West Coast ports on its other services.
The carriers will be the first to offer a nonstop service from Asia to
Ensenada, a new container terminal on Mexico’s Baja California peninsula.
Transit time from Japan will be 10 days to Ensenada and 13 days to
Manzanillo. Transit time will be cut from 16 days to 14 from Manzanillo to
Japan, and from 17 to 16 from Manzanillo to Korea.
