Hong Kong-based Trans Global Logistics said Tuesday it has opened an office in Atlanta as part of an expansion plan for its Americas business.
The Atlanta office will be its fourth in the United States – the others are located in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
“Atlanta is a huge gateway for air and ocean transportation and it has a large and growing base of shippers,” said Donald Woo, chief executive officer of Trans Global. “Having our own office in Atlanta will allow us to provide higher levels of customer service to our existing customers and to market our logistics services to a new shipper base.”
The company said the Atlanta location will allow it to grow its Latin America business, taking advantage of efficient routing of freight through Miami.
“Our Latin American business is strong and with a presence in the Southeast we will expand business in the market,” Woo said.
The Atlanta facility will handle inbound and outbound air and ocean shipments along with customs brokerage services, with a warehouse facility for customers requiring distribution services.
