TRANSPORTACION MARITIMA MEXICANA LINER UNIT IS RENAMED
American Ships, the liner shipping joint venture between
CP Ships and Transportacion Maritime Mexicana, has changed the name of its former TMM
liner division to TMM Lines.
Americana Ships comprises TMM Lines, Lykes Lines, Transportacion
Maritima Grancolombiana, Compania Trasatlantic Espanola and the U.S. Gulf/Mediterranean
service of Contship Containerlines.
Americana Ships said that TMM Lines "has been launched with a new
brand image, reflecting its more international outlook."
TMM Lines has also begun to restructure its sales organization,
including the establishment of own offices in the United States.
