Freight.Tech 25 votes are in: See who the winners are at MarketWaves18

It started with more than 500 nominations, and now the list has been culled to just 25 companies that will vie for special recognition as one of the most innovative companies in freight.

The FreightWaves Research Institute will announce the winners of the Freight.Tech 25 next week at the MarketWaves18 conference, Nov. 12-13, 2018, at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas. To register for the event, visit https://www.freightwaves.com/marketwaves18/.

The Freight.Tech 100 recognizes the most innovative and disruptive companies in freight. Nominations were sought, and a panel chosen by FreightWaves narrowed the list to the 100 companies that comprised the Freight.Tech 100.

“The companies that comprise the Freight.Tech 100 showcase the overall depth of innovation that is taking place in the freight ecosystem today,” said Arlen Stark, FreightWaves’ EVP of Research. “All the companies should be recognized and honored for helping drive the freight industry forward.”

Once selected, a panel of esteemed, outside judges from across the freight ecosystem researched and voted on the companies that will be announced at MarketWaves18 as the Freight.Tech 25.

Accounting firm Katz, Sapper & Miller (KSM) conducted the voting for the Freight.Tech 25. The voters, a who’s who of freight, included top executives and company founders, venture capitalists, sales and marketing executives, digital leaders, deans and directors of some of the top leading supply chain and transportation schools in the country, chief innovation officers, and chief technology officers. Participating voters were chosen to represent a broad array of perspectives from across industry to include not only C-suite, investor and academic representatives, but also those who represent small, mid-sized and large companies as well as start-ups and established businesses.

At MarketWaves18, the FreightWaves Research Institute will announce the Freight.Tech 25 in order of the final voting from judges. The top 5, delivered in sealed envelopes, will be announced and honored onstage.

“We, of course, want to thank all the companies and individuals who participated and took the time to nominate themselves and others for consideration to the Freight.Tech 100,” said Arlen Stark, FreightWaves’ EVP of Research. “And a special thank you to the 60-plus voters who took time out of their busy schedules to research and vote on the nominated companies to determine the Freight.Tech 25 and to Katz, Sapper & Miller for overseeing and ensuring the entire process was conducted professionally and in accordance with voting best practices.
