TWO NORTH CHINA SERVICES START CALLING DALIAN

Two deepsea container services have started calling at
the Dalian Container Terminal in North China.
The first sailing of the new OOCL/Wan Hai joint service between North
Asia and the Mideast called at Dalian on July 26. The Asia/northern Europe loop launched
by China Shipping Group had its maiden call at Dalian on Aug. 5.
The addition of the two services bring to four the number of mainhaul
liner services serving the Chinese terminal.
The Dalian Container Terminal, part of the Singaporean terminal
operator PSA, also reported a 30 percent increase in its container throughput for the
first six months of the year, to 285,782 TEUs.
