TYCO PICKS EMERY IN ASIA
Tyco Healthcare, a business division of Tyco International Ltd., has selected Emery Worldwide to manage its Asian logistics operation.
Tyco has contracted Emery to manage inbound freight handling, customs clearance, warehouse and inventory management, and distribution for medical products sold throughout the Asia-Pacific region from a logistics hub in Singapore.
Emery, the integrated air cargo subsidiary of CNF Inc., established its first office in Singapore in 1962. It has been providing services in North America for Australia-based AMP Inc., a division of Tyco Electronics. Tyco International is a diversified manufacturer with products ranging from electronic components to undersea telecommunications systems and disposable medical items.
