U-Freight opens controlled atmosphere warehouse in Shanghai
International freight forwarding and logistics services group U-Freight said Monday it has opened a new temperature and humidity-controlled warehouse facility in Shanghai.
Located within U-Freight’s existing hub, which is near the freight terminal at Shanghai’s Hongqiao airport, the new facility is 21,000 square feet, with three individual units that can be customized to individual customer requirements.
With two cargo lifts and enough racking for the storage of 840 pallets, the facility can maintain ambient temperatures between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius and relative humidity between 45 and 70 percent. The new facility also has cold storage capable of maintaining cargoes at temperatures between minus-5 C and 5 C, ideal for customers from electronics industries which have epoxy and moulding compounds that need to be stored in these conditions prior to their use in the production of electronic components.
In China, U-Freight’s network now extends to multiple facilities in most of the country’s key trade gateways. The company operates under five brands in China — U-Freight China, Shanghai Rijin, Dalian China Express, Shanghai Renaissance and Shanghai Jupiter — each servicing different trades or types of industry.
