U.S. GROUP TO DISCUSS CHEMICAL HAZARD CLASSIFICATION
A U.S. government group, has scheduled a meeting with industry on April 27 at the Environmental Protection Agency’s office in Arlington, Va., to further efforts to develop a harmonized system of chemical hazard classifications and labeling
The Bureau of Oceans, International Environmental and Scientific Affairs will review the results of international environmental and hazardous materials meetings held around the world since October.
The interagency group will also provide an overview of upcoming international meetings, such as the Inter-Organization Program for Sound Management of Chemicals/International Labor Organization Working Group on Hazard Communication in Geneva, May 22-25; the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Expert Group on Classification Criteria for Chemical Mixtures in Paris, May 29-31; and the UN Subcommittee on Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods in Geneva, July 3-13.
