U.S., TURKEY SIGN AVIATION AGREEMENT

U.S., TURKEY SIGN AVIATION AGREEMENT

The United States and Turkey have signed an aviation agreement to immediately open up all cargo and charter airline services between the countries.

The so-called “open skies” agreement allows any U.S. or Turkish cargo airline to fly to any city in either country without limitation on plane size or frequency of service.

Greater passenger services will be phased in over a three-year period leading to open skies. The Turkey agreement marks the 45th open skies deal the United States has signed.
