Unifor National Representative Mario Santos said “the bargaining committee worked around the clock to secure fair compensation for the workers.”
Canadian labor union Unifor reached a tentative agreement with one of Canada’s largest international parcel shipping companies, DHL.
Unifor’s members would have been in a legal strike position at 12:01 a.m. eastern time today, according to Unifor.
DHL’s regional offices are located on or near airport properties throughout Canada, and most of the company’s operations facilities are located at airports, including Vancouver, Hamilton, Edmonton and Calgary.
“The bargaining committee worked around the clock to secure fair compensation for the workers who make DHL successful,” Unifor National Representative Mario Santos said.
