UNITED PLANS DAILY CHICAGO/DELHI NON-STOP
United Airlines plans to launch non-stop daily service between Chicago’s
O’Hare International Airport and Delhi, India by Oct. 31.
United said it will be one of the longest routes operated by any aircraft.
The service will use Boeing 747-400 jets enhanced with Phase Three Pratt
and Whitney engines. Depending on the route, United said the flights will
take about 15 hours, covering 7,484 miles.
The flights are subject to certain contractual approvals, the airline said.
