   The Union Pacific Railroad plans to spend $383 million in 2015 to improve its infrastructure in Texas.
   UP’s investment covers a range of initiatives, including $289 million to maintain railroad track, $18 million to enhance signal systems and $75 million to maintain or replace bridges in the state.
   UP and other railroads operate on track built and maintained without taxpayer funds. From 2010 to 2014, UP has invested more than $2.7 billion in its rail infrastructure across Texas.
