Announced changes are as follows:
- Effective December 28, 2015 the company said UPS Ground rates and accessorial charges will increase by an average net 4.9 percent.
- On the same day, UPS Air and International services and charges, including UPS Air Freight rates within and between the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, will increase an average net 5.2 percent.
- On October 26, 2015, the company said UPS Freight rates will increase an average net of 4.9 percent.
- Effective November 2, 2015, the surcharge will increase for over maximum packages and the tables for ground, air and international fuel surcharges will be updated.
- Effective January 4, 2016, there will be a charge for UPS’s third-party billing service.
In addition, UPS also said it will improve delivery coverage again and enhance its UPS Next Day Air Early service by expanding to nearly 4,500 additional ZIP Codes where it offers overnight delivery by 8:00 a.m.; expand international coverage by offering UPS Worldwide Express service to more than 41,000 new postal codes around the world; expand its Access Point network where customers can have packages delivered to locations such as UPS Stores or local grocery stores instead of their homes; and offer enhanced supply chain services, highlighting its acquisition of Coyote Logistics this summer.
