UTi opens new Taiwan logistics facility

UTi Worldwide has opened a new multi-client logistics center in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
The facility, measuring 461,000 square feet, is located about 20 minutes from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and just off Taiwan’s Highway 2 for quick access to the island’s main distribution channels.
“This facility is adaptable to the requirements of several industries such as pharmaceutical, healthcare, and wine and spirits which may require temperature-controlled environments,” said Brian Dangerfield, UTi president for the Asia Pacific region.
The logistics center now houses about 30,000 pallets of inventory for 100 shippers, primarily in the high-tech, fashion, consumer and retail industries, the company said.
